Vincze, On behalf of our team, we would like to cordially invite your University to join a collaborative project that we are preparing for submission under the Visegrad Fund. The project, initiated by the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, will focus on medical communication between doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, paramedics, and patients. Its primary goal is to develop both professional and communication competencies among future healthcare professionals through educational activities and international cooperation. The main objectives of the project include: * strengthening the professionalism of educational institutions within the Visegrad Group, * supporting the mobility of students, researchers, and educators to exchange best practices, * developing essential hard and soft skills for the 21st century using formal and non-formal learning methods. The project’s substantive framework includes: * implementing modern teaching methods, such as scenario-based training with simulated patients, * developing new communication exercise scenarios, * comparing educational syllabi related to patient communication, * introducing an interdisciplinary approach (cooperation between doctors, psychologists, and soft skills trainers), * preparing and publishing a best practices folder on patient communication strategies. Planned project activities: * organizing a kick-off meeting for students and project staff, * developing a defined number of communication scenarios, * translating materials into English, * launching a project website, * hosting two-day workshops for students focused on communication and soft skills, * organizing a final project conference, * publishing project materials (including a printed folder), * dividing substantive tasks among partners, including participation of psychologists and trainers. Eligible costs within the project include: * mobility for participants and supervisors, * remuneration for coordinators, psychologists, and trainers, * organization of meetings and conferences (venue, catering, accommodation), * translation and graphic design of materials, * audit (if the total budget exceeds EUR 10,000). The maximum duration of the project is 18 months from the date of funding approval. The submission deadline is June 1. As part of our interdisciplinary approach, we would be honored to include the your as a partner. Our university will engage students from the medical faculty, as well as educators from the psychology department. Other partners will contribute students from nursing and physiotherapy programs. We believe this collaborative, multi-perspective approach will lead to the development of effective and innovative best practices in patient communication, benefitting both students and healthcare systems alike.
