Dear Students,
We have received two accommodation options recently that we are now sharing with you, since some of you are still looking for accommodation.
Option 1: one-room flat in the city centre - see attachment
Option 2: a larger flat somewhat in the outskirts (district 18)
Located in a 4-storey building with several flats.
You need approx. 30 minutes to get to the university by public transport (it is not much in Budapest).
If you are interested, we can put you in contact with the owner.
Best regards,
Ms Ágnes CSIMMA

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to inform you that my Schengen visa was issued on 14 July 2025 by the Dhaka Office of the Embassy of Hungary in New Delhi, through VFS Global.
I am scheduled to travel from Dhaka to Budapest on 26 August 2025. My departure is set for 2:45 AM CEST, and am expected to arrive in Budapest the same day at 7:35 PM CEST.
Kind regards,
Md Zunayedul Islam

Dear New Students,
We hope you are doing well and preparing for your exciting journey to Budapest! Please take a moment to read the following important updates and reminders.
Temporary reduced office capacity
The colleagues of the International Relations Office are currently on summer leave, with very limited office operations. This means that responses to emails may take longer than usual. From 18 August, we will resume work at full capacity.
Visa status updates
If you require a visa to enter Hungary and have not yet informed us about the status of your visa application, please email us an update. This will help us understand where each of you stands in the process.
Mentors
Unfortunately, we have not yet been able to assign a mentor to everyone (the good news is that we are welcoming an exceptionally large number of international students this year!). If you have a specific issue where a mentor’s help would be particularly useful, please write to us and we will try to arrange assistance in the meantime.
Accommodation reminders
If you still have not arranged accommodation, please review our housing page again: [ https://itk.ppke.hu/en/housing | https://itk.ppke.hu/en/housing ] .
For students assigned to the dormitory, the dorm management will contact you directly with move-in details. We can confirm that bedding (pillow and duvet) is provided, but you must bring your own bedsheet and towels (or buy them upon arrival in Budapest). Plates, cutlery, etc. should also be purchased in Budapest during your first days. For all other questions regarding the dormitory, please contact the dorm management directly, as we do not have further information.
Small requests from the IRO
If possible, please consider bringing:
a) A fridge magnet from your city or country - we love to decorate our IRO with them.
b) A national snack that does not expire before October - we will showcase them at our International Day in October.
c) If you have room in your luggage, you may also bring a piece of traditional attire to represent your country at the International Day, though this is entirely optional.
Getting to know Budapest
For those who would like to get a sense of what life in Budapest is like, we recommend browsing [ https://welovebudapest.com/en | https://welovebudapest.com/en ] for news, tips, and local insights.
Documents for full-degree students
If you are starting one of our full-degree programs (i.e. any program other than Erasmus+ mobility for studies), do not forget to bring the original versions of your documents for enrolment:
*
BSc diploma
*
Proof of English proficiency (unless your BSc was fully taught in English, in which case you are exempt from this requirement).
Orientation Week attendance
If, due to reasons beyond your control (such as visa delays), you cannot arrive in time to start the Orientation Week on 1 September, please inform us immediately. The Orientation Week is an integral and mandatory part of your studies, and absence is only permitted for justified reasons. We will send you the Orientation Week programme in the last days of August.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. (Kindly note, however, that until 18 August, our replies may be delayed due to the reduced summer schedule.)
We look forward to meeting you soon and wish you smooth preparations for your new life and studies in Budapest!
Best regards,
