Dear IPCV Students,
If you are looking for a fun activity for the autumn break (or for any other time), I’d like to recommend a great team-building experience in Budapest. Escape rooms are extremely popular here, and the city has many high-quality options. One of the very best is Neverland, which offers an excellent combination of immersive escape games and a stylish cocktail bar. You can check out the place here: [ https://neverland.hu/en | https://neverland.hu/en ]
Neverland features eight different themed escape rooms, each designed with great creativity and attention to detail. Up to seven players can participate in one room, so for your whole cohort, you would need to book three rooms (running at the same time). After the one-hour escape game, you can continue your evening together in their cocktail bar, which is also highly rated and has a lively atmosphere.
On the website, you can read the storylines and themes of each escape room. The Wild West room and the Jailbreak are especially brilliant (at least I enjoyed them a lot), the Aztec Catacomb is also great fun, and I’ve heard excellent feedback about the Wizard Trials too (though I haven’t tried that one myself yet). In truth, whichever theme you choose will be a good time – just pick what the group finds most appealing.
You can book online, and I recommend checking for a time slot when three rooms are available simultaneously. If you let me know which rooms and time you’ve chosen, there’s a good chance I can arrange a 20% discount if you make the reservation through me (my son works there, so I may be able to arrange a staff discount for you).
I think this could be a great way for your group to relax, have fun, and strengthen your team spirit outside the classroom.
Best regards,
Andrea

Dear IPCV students,
We would like to invite you to a short feedback meeting today from 12.15 to 13.00 in room 132.
We are very interested in hearing about your impressions, challenges, and both the positive and negative experiences you have had in the IPCV programme, from academic as well as organisational perspectives.
Please take a moment to collect your thoughts so that our discussion can remain focused.
Best regards,
Andrea

Dear IPCV Students,
On Thursday, November 6, from 11:00 to 14:00, we’ll celebrate our traditional International Day at the Faculty . We’re really counting on your active participation, too. Please plan ahead so you can join in fully. (We chose this date especially because IPCV students finish classes at 12:00 that day and have no TRDP session in the afternoon.)
As IPCV students, we’d love for you to contribute in a few special ways:
IPCV Quiz – “Around the World with IPCV”
We’d like to ask your cohort to prepare a fun, light-hearted quiz that other students can join via their phones (for example, through Menti or a similar app – sadly, Kahoot only allows 10 participants).
The quiz could be about the countries represented in your group – quick, humorous, and easy to play. The International Office will provide small prizes for the winners. It will take place during one of the breaks (most likely 13:00–13:15).
Please let me know who will coordinate and host this quiz. Let us know what kind of help you need on our side (we'll have a screen where you can present the quiz, but if anything else is needed, just give us a shout).
Show your Colors – National Touch
If possible, please come wearing something that represents your country. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a full traditional outfit – even a small symbolic item (like an embroidered vest, a traditional hat, some accessory etc. ) is perfect.
“Tastes of the World” – International Lunch
We’ll also have our popular international lunch, where everyone brings a dish from their country – it can be anything that can be served as one course in a lunch (a salad, some warm dish, dessert, snack, etc.). We'll have a microwave to warm food if necessary.
All the food will be placed on a long table, and Hungarian and international students can drop by around noon to taste and enjoy your creations. This event is always a highlight of the day – we hope it will be again this year.
(Of course, we'll count on all other international students as well - i.e. all full-time students and Erasmus students will also be asked to prepare something.)
Short Dance from Your Country
Is there anyone who would like to teach a short, fun dance from their home country? You may remember the Hungarian dance session in September. This would be something similar, but much shorter (just a few minutes), to give everyone a taste of your culture.
Please tell me if you’d like to take part in this.
Finally, if you have any other ideas or contributions to make the International Day even more colorful (and to help make the IPCV group more visible at the Faculty), we would be very happy to hear them. Please send your ideas, reflections directly to the central address of the IRO: international.office(a)itk.ppke.hu.
Thank you in advance for your enthusiasm and creativity. We’re looking forward to celebrating together.
Kind regards,
Andrea
