Dear Students,
As several of you have already contacted me regarding transcripts, I would like to provide a short update for the entire cohort.
The examination period lasts until 31 January. Officially, transcripts can only be issued once the examination period is closed and all grades have been recorded in Neptun. At the moment, it appears that all grades are already available, except for the TRDP course. As soon as the TRDP grades are uploaded, I will be able to issue your transcripts. (Since UAM requires the transcripts for enrollment, we are allowed to prepare them slightly earlier for IPCV students than the official schedule - but I still need to wait for the TRDP result before the transcripts can be finalised.) If everything goes according to plan, I may be able to send the transcripts by email towards the end of this week.
Please also note that I will send the transcripts for the entire cohort directly to UAM in a single package, so you don't need to arrange this individually. (If you require a wet-signed hard copy for any reason, please keep in mind that these can only be issued in person - we can't send hard copies by post.)
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Best regards,
Andrea

Dear students,
Today, Sofia brought her potted flower to my office because she can't take it with her to Madrid. This gave us a great idea.
If you have items you won’t be taking with you to Madrid (such as kitchenware, cookware, blankets, table linens, table lamp etc.), you are welcome to bring them to my office (upon prior arrangement). We will gladly make sure these are passed on to other international students who can put them to good use.
Please make sure to bring items in excellent condition only, as we want to offer things that anyone would be happy to receive.
Warm regards,
Andrea

Dear Students,
Thank you for the photos sent yesterday, I really loved them! We’ve just published the article about your first semester in Budapest - it’s really worth a read 😊 Thank you once again for sharing your stories, experiences, and memories with us.
If you feel like it, you’re very welcome to share the article through LinkedIn. Commenting is more than welcome, too: thank you in advance! 😉
Enjoy reading, and best of luck in Madrid! Professor Karacs and myself will be in Madrid towards the end of March (together with the IPCV team from Madrid and Bordeaux), for the selection procedure of the 2026 cohort. I hope to see you all there.
Warm regards,
Andrea

Dear Students,
The IPCV cohort interview will be published on our website tomorrow.
However, we don't yet have any photos to accompany it. I would very much appreciate it if you could send me at least 2-3 photos ASAP that could be included with the interview.
I'll let you know when the interview is published; it'll be worth reading.
Thank you,
Andrea

Dear IPCV Students,
As we discussed it on Friday, I would like to put together a " cohort interview" about your semester and experiences in Budapest. Below, you’ll find the questions we’ve prepared for this.
If you feel inspired by any of them, please write me a few sentences. When you do so, always copy the question above your answer, and then write your response underneath it. From your individual contributions, I will “blend together” the final cohort interview.
Since many of you volunteered to reply, there is absolutely no need for everyone to answer every question; quite the opposite. 😊 Please choose a maximum of 4-5 questions per person . That will already give us plenty of great material. And if someone feels like responding to just one single question , that is also perfectly fine and very welcome. We might not use all the questions/answers, or we might split up the interview into several shorter ones - we'll have to see the material that comes together thanks to your contribution.
Please send me your answers by Thursday noon at the latest.
Here are the proposed interview questions:
*
If you had to sum up your first semester in just one word, what would it be – and why that word? (This is something we did on Friday, but without the explanation part.)
* Do you remember a moment (e.g. a conversation, a shared experience etc.) when you first thought: “Okay, I belong here”?
*
What are your impressions of studying and being part of Pázmány ITK?
*
What surprised you most about studying IPCV?
*
What’s the one experience from the first semester that stayed with you the most? (This can either be an academic experience or some social activity etc; anything that comes to your mind)
* Was there a point during the semester when things felt difficult or overwhelming? How did you get through it?
*
From an academic point of view, which courses or subject(s) meant the most to you?
* What has your experience with Hungary been like? (OR: Did anything about Hungarian culture positively surprise you?)
* Is there one small Budapest moment that made you feel you were truly living here, not just studying abroad?
*
How do you feel you’ve changed since the start of the semester? In what ways are you different now?
* If you could go back and talk to yourself a year ago (just before applying to the program), what would you tell yourself? (OR: What’s one “hidden gem” of the IPCV program that everyone should know about?)
* Looking ahead, what are you most curious or excited about when it comes to the upcoming semester in Madrid?
Thank you in advance for your thoughts and ideas. I’m really looking forward to reading them!
Best regards,
Andrea

Dear IPCV Students,
Thank you again for spending Friday afternoon together at Grund. I really hope you enjoyed it as much as I did! 😊Could you please send me a few photos from the event as soon as possible? We’d love to include them in a short post about the occasion.
I also owe you a small apology: I completely forgot to bring the attendance sheet (bureaucracy and administration never rest…). Could you please come by to sign it tomorrow or sometime later this week (but still this week)? Unfortunately, we need it as supporting documentation for the invoice.
Before you leave Budapest, please don’t forget to bring back your entry fob (the little blue thing) so I can collect it. If you are already done with your exams, you can return it when you come to sign the attendance sheet.
One very important reminder: please make sure you accept your offered grades in Neptun. Otherwise, the grade will be lost at the end of the exam period. I’ve even seen some students haven't accepted a grade of 5. You really do need to click the “accept” button for the grade to become final.
As discussed, I would also want to ask the cohort to prepare a “best of” selection of around 100 photos from your Budapest semester and send it to me. I will ask for the same at the end of each of your semesters, so you can already keep this in mind for the future. 🙂 These photos will later be used for your graduation ceremony.
Regarding the "cohort interview", I’ll send you a separate email shortly.
Thanks a lot, and enjoy the rest of your time in Budapest!
Best wishes,
Andrea

Dear IPCV students,
I hope you are all doing well, and I also hope your exams are going smoothly.
Before you leave Budapest to start your next study chapter in Madrid, we would like to warmly invite you to a farewell event on January 9 at 4.00 pm at Grund. (In case you don't know the place: it's located very close to the Faculty, at Nagytemplom utca 30.) We'll be in the "Bazsesz" event room (ask for the Pázmány group). We're planning a relaxed, informal afternoon together, a chance to reflect on our shared experiences from this past semester, and to take a few final group photos here in Budapest.
For planning purposes, I kindly ask everyone to let me know whether we can count on your attendance.
We are very much looking forward to seeing you there.
Warm regards,
Andrea
