Dear IPCV Students,
On Thursday, November 6, from 11:00 to 14:00, we’ll celebrate our traditional
International Day at the Faculty . We’re really counting on your active participation,
too. Please plan ahead so you can join in fully. (We chose this date especially because
IPCV students finish classes at 12:00 that day and have no TRDP session in the afternoon.)
As IPCV students, we’d love for you to contribute in a few special ways:
IPCV Quiz – “Around the World with IPCV”
We’d like to ask your cohort to prepare a fun, light-hearted quiz that other students can
join via their phones (for example, through Menti or a similar app – sadly, Kahoot only
allows 10 participants).
The quiz could be about the countries represented in your group – quick, humorous, and
easy to play. The International Office will provide small prizes for the winners. It will
take place during one of the breaks (most likely 13:00–13:15).
Please let me know who will coordinate and host this quiz. Let us know what kind of help
you need on our side (we'll have a screen where you can present the quiz, but if
anything else is needed, just give us a shout).
Show your Colors – National Touch
If possible, please come wearing something that represents your country. It doesn’t
necessarily have to be a full traditional outfit – even a small symbolic item (like an
embroidered vest, a traditional hat, some accessory etc. ) is perfect.
“Tastes of the World” – International Lunch
We’ll also have our popular international lunch, where everyone brings a dish from their
country – it can be anything that can be served as one course in a lunch (a salad, some
warm dish, dessert, snack, etc.). We'll have a microwave to warm food if necessary.
All the food will be placed on a long table, and Hungarian and international students can
drop by around noon to taste and enjoy your creations. This event is always a highlight of
the day – we hope it will be again this year.
(Of course, we'll count on all other international students as well - i.e. all
full-time students and Erasmus students will also be asked to prepare something.)
Short Dance from Your Country
Is there anyone who would like to teach a short, fun dance from their home country? You
may remember the Hungarian dance session in September. This would be something similar,
but much shorter (just a few minutes), to give everyone a taste of your culture.
Please tell me if you’d like to take part in this.
Finally, if you have any other ideas or contributions to make the International Day even
more colorful (and to help make the IPCV group more visible at the Faculty), we would be
very happy to hear them. Please send your ideas, reflections directly to the central
address of the IRO: international.office(a)itk.ppke.hu.
Thank you in advance for your enthusiasm and creativity. We’re looking forward to
celebrating together.
Kind regards,
Andrea
